**Job Description: ACTIVITIES ORGANISER**

Hours of work: Approx 12 hours per week
As per needs of the service

**Responsible to**:Care Manager (Senior Carer in care manager absence)

**Purpose**: To have planned contact time and activities, organised in advance to promote residents’ involvement in meaningful activities

**Main Responsibilities**:
1. Meet regularly, at least once a week, with every residents for contact time

2. Provide 1:1 and group companionship and support to residents

3. Provide advocacy services

4. Investigate and promote what lifts resident’s spirits and support them to access these feelings

5. Provide additional support for relatives in times of need

6. Support residents to ensure personal cleanliness and well dressed at all times

7. Support residents in meaningful activities

8. Identify with residents support, organise & accompany residents on trips and outings

9. Establish and maintain links in the community (Church, schools, volunteer centre etc) to benefit the residents of the Home

10. Promote fund raising for residents benefit

11. Support Manager in meeting National Care Standards and Inspection themes.

12. Comply with policies and procedures of the home and Scottish law

13. Maintain professional confidentiality at all times

14. Attend staff meetings and comply with all required training

15. Comply with all Company policies

16. Comply with and support Management decisions

Note: The Manager will have final veto over any planned contact time, activity or event.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above it may be necessary to perform other duties not listed. Consideration will be given to your skills and status when requesting you perform these duties.

This role requires an enhanced Criminal Records Check (PVG) and therefore applicants must meet the criteria for working with vulnerable adults.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
