**Duties**
- Working with the Facilities management team ensure where required our homes provide a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable environment for all residents
- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Homes and surrounding grounds; ensuring excellent first Impressions to all who visit.
- Work positively with the Facilities management team and Home Management to achieve outcomes for the longer-term tasks such as fit-out, refurbishment, day-to-day servicing, painting and redecoration, maintenance, gardening, moving of furniture
- Take an active role in the monitoring of any risk areas regarding the Homes operations and security and advise the management accordingly
- Carry out preventative maintenance as required and directed.
- Undertake minor repairs to fixtures and fittings as appropriate and directed
- Undertake decorating to the home as rooms become empty or as required, and keeping communal areas to WCS standard
- Always maintain a safety culture for yourself and people around you. If you are unsure of a task always speak to your manager before commencing
- Ensure all company equipment is checked for safe operation and stored safely when not using
- Maintain the home as a pleasant, friendly and secure place to live.
**Other duties**
- Ensure all contractors work to WCS policies and procedures, with Risk Assessment and Method Statement in place prior to commencing any work
- Ensure the security of the building is maintained, whilst allowing residents access to communal and outside spaces
- Ensure all new staff are given a tour of the home and informed of the correct fire safety procedure
- Induction, training and supervision of all housekeeping and laundry assistants

Working within the company’s policies and procedures, you are expected to adopt a flexible approach to meet the challenges and opportunities of the role. This can include, but is not limited to, working flexibly in terms of time e.g. nights and weekends, location and role
