Contract Scotland are thrilled to be working closely with our client a well-established and unique principal specialist contactor in overhead line electrification in rail.Their main objective is to reinvent transport through the installation of overheadpowerlines and procedures which ensure a more environmentally friendly, cost effective and safer way to operate within the rail sector.They are supporting Network Rail to accomplish their net-zero carbon targets by helping to electrifying all rail routesby 2040.

They have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis in the West of Scotland.It is essential that you have experience within the rail sector particularly on overhead line electrification.

You will work with a team who are responsible for commercially managing multiple projects from tender through to final account, providing commercial assistance to operational teams and others when required.Your role will involve working closely with thesenior commercial management team and you will be responsible for managing more junior members for the team.This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, dynamic and approachable team where you can further develop your career with a main playerin their market

**You should have a methodical approach, great interpersonal skill and have the following skills**:

- Relevant qualifications within Quantity Surveying.
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Experience within the Civil Engineering sectors.
- Organisation skills required for managing multiple projects at one time
- Experience of working with key cost-based software packages
- Good interpersonal & negotiation skills, as well as the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- NEC contract experience would be advantageous.
