Supply Chain Supervisor required to undertake a 12-month contract, providing maternity cover with a leading oilfield services client based in Dyce.

The position requires previous Supply Chain experience including the procurement of precision machined components and the coordination of import and export activities. The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and make pragmatic decisions, demonstrate good organisation, team working, communication and negotiation skills.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Responsible for material planning, scheduling, and procurement in accordance with bills of materials and customer demand; issue of RFQs, supplier selection and negotiation, and Purchase Order placement.
- Monitoring Purchase Orders through to delivery, including regular expediting, reconcile any order discrepancies, and assist accounts with invoice queries.
- Developing, maintaining, and managing relationships with suppliers to drive improvement in all areas of supplier performance.
- Managing communication with suppliers including obtaining quality documentation, drawing queries, Non-Conformances, and Concessions
- Working with Engineering to drive cost-down and identify wider sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinating all domestic and international logistics; liaising with all relevant parties including customers and freight forwarders, preparing shipping and export documentation.
- Maintaining accurate records of import and export activities, dealing with any Customs queries, and supporting finance for Postponed VAT Accounting.
- Management of the of Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator.
- Regular interaction with Engineering and Production Teams and Product Centre Management.
- Applicants to this position should have relevant experience in a similar role and strong working knowledge of SAP Business by Design.
