**We are currently hiring for the following position**:
**Laundry Attendant**

St Anne's was opened in 1907 when the Sisters of Charity of St. Paul were invited by Lady Kerr to take up work or caring for the aged and infirm. We are registered with the care Inspectorate in East Lothian. St Anne's is situated in a quiet residential areas in the town of Musselburgh, and the main shopping area is approximately half a mile away. We cater for 37 residents, male and female, in a single storey building.

**Job Requirements;**

You should have a genuine interest in working within a caring environment; good communication skills and be a team player.

Must be eligible to work in Musselburgh without sponsorship
Able to lift 50 lbs.

**Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**
Ability to work overtime as needed

**Duties**:
Routine washing of all household linen and Residents’ clothing and ironing of same as per policy and procedure.
- Re-distribution of laundered clothing to Residents’ rooms.
- Identifying any clothing in need of repair and repairing same.
- Maintaining stock levels and informing Management of any damaged linen and/or clothing.
- Identifying clothing for dry cleaning and informing Person in Charge.
- Daily maintenance of floors and equipment.
- Routine cleaning of sinks/basins and laundry baskets.
- Routine cleaning of all filters in tumble dryers and washing machines.
- Maintaining clean and dirty areas of laundry as per policy and procedure.
- Removal and replacement of rubbish bags.
- The careful handling of infected clothing and suitable infection bags, including specific requirements for infections such as COVID-19 or similar.
- Adherence to P.P.E requirements at all times.
- The reading and understanding of St Anne’s policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as directed by the Manager.
