**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated, plant-loving, outgoing and friendly Instructor to join our team of workshop leaders. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality terrarium workshops to clients at offices across London (a terrarium is a self-watering mini garden in a glass vessel). This is a rewarding opportunity to bring some joy in to people's offices, and brighten up their day by helping them to take a break from the stresses of their day and engage with nature.
**Responsibilities**:
- Learn new skills, shadowing existing instructors at workshops until you are ready
- Travelling to workshops, arriving promptly and delivering a great session
- Keeping clients happy and dealing with problems as they arise
- Encouraging clients to book us again, discussing our other workshop options
- Helping with tasks at the studio (e.g. preparing terrarium kits)
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as an instructor or teacher of any type preferred
- Good plant knowledge, and willing to learn. Experience as a florist or in the plant industry would be great but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for crafting
- Driving licence preferred
**Hours/pay**
We are looking for someone to work as a self-employed instructor. This involves us sending you requests for workshops that you can accept/decline around your own availability. We pay up to £25ph (based on experience) for workshop leading, paying an extra 2 hours per session to account for set up time (often less time is needed), as well as £10.85 for travel time. This often comes to around £100 for a half-day of work. Number of sessions available per week vary, busy periods are October-Dec. There is potential for a full time, salaried role in the future.
