**Logistics Co-ordinator; Construction - Glentress, Scottish Borders**

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day logistics and waste management during the development (build phase) of our next Forest Holidays location at Glentress, Scottish Borders.

The appointed person will proactively support the site management team to ensure works are carried out safely, on time, within the agreed budgets and to the right quality standards. Working closely with the Site Manager you will support in the implementation of key plans and processes in conjunction with the Construction Phase Plan. The role is an important conduit between the wider management team and construction partners and is a key part of ensuring the smooth day to day running of the construction project.

This role would be ideally suited to someone with onsite construction and (or) logistics experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop and progress their career.

**Role Objectives**
- Liaise with construction partners and suppliers regularly to maintain positive relationships
- Coordinate site logistics operations in accordance with Construction Phase Plan (CPP), risk assessments, and other approved management processes
- Support Site Manager with the implementation of key plans and processes, including - Site Setup & Security Plans, Tree Protection & Construction Exclusion Zone fencing, Site Signage Plan, Fire Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan, Toolbox Talks & site inductions
- Support the delivery of Toolbox Talks as appropriate
- Support the delivery of site inductions
- Attend and contribute at routine site and H&S meetings
- Support the site manager with the Quality Management System checks
- Capture & share any lessons identified with the Site Manager
- Implement Site Waste Management Plan and coordinate movement, storage, and collection of waste materials as required to maintain an immaculate and safe building site
- Manage routine operation of site welfare facilities
- Implement the site water quality monitoring regime in accordance with Pollution Prevention and Incident Management Plan (PPIP)
- Liaise between partners as required to ensure works remain on-schedule, including coordinating the receipt and internal movement of materials deliveries
- Coordinate site materials storage to optimise space available and minimise the potential for logistics delay
- Inspect materials for damage upon delivery and record and report any concerns
- Receive delivery notes and maintain accurate records to assist with stock control
- Ensure materials are stored/handled as needed to minimise risk of damage
- Manage compound and storage areas. Always keep areas organised and tidy.
- Other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the site management team

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience in workplace Health & Safety processes
- Experience working with COSHH controlled substances

**Desirable**
- Experience in construction site Health & Safety process
- Experience in construction or warehouse-based logistics management
- Trade experience

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Good level of general education

**Desirable**
- CITB SMSTS (or other construction industry recognized H&S qualification)
- First Aid training
- NVQ in a relevant discipline
