Cooking and Baking for a busy farm shop.
Part-time 2-3 days per week. Sociable hours 10-4pm (with some flexibility)
Alternating weekend shifts will be required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistency in product quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools
- Monitor baking process to ensure proper timing and temperature
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
