MensCraft is a Norfolk-based charity focusing exclusively on the health and wellbeing of men.We support men facing life’s challenges or experiencing difficulties with their mental health.

We offer information, activities and programmes and provide one-to-one support and access to other specialist services.

**The Role - Finance Manager**:
We are recruiting for a Finance Officer with experience of working in the charity sector to join the team. Applicants must be AAT qualified or equivalent, with experience of management accounts and SORP.

You will manage our day-to-day finance operations, and oversee wider finance functions, including expenses and payroll.

You will prepare monthly Management Accounts, lead on Charity Accountancy functions.

**Core Responsibilities - Finance Manager**:

- Establishing and developing effective financial policies, procedures, systems and keeping accurate records to enable MensCraft and its Trustees to fulfil their legal duties under Company and Charitable law.
- Establishing and developing effective administrative and office procedures, systems and equipment and keeping accurate records.
- To record income and expenditure accurately using Liberty accounts package.
- To monitor expenditure against income to ensure that expenditure remains within budget and that project funds are spent appropriately.
- To ensure income is collected by producing sales invoices and claiming funds from funding bodies.
- To ensure monies are kept secure and banked.
- To deal with all banking matters, reconcile bank statements with accounts and monitor cash flow.
- To process staff expenses, payroll and pension contributions.
- To provide management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and balance sheets for the Development Manager, managers and Trustees.
- To prepare annual accounts for external audit.

**Person Specification - Finance Officer**:

- Experience of charity finance is essential.
- Accountancy skills/qualifications or equivalent experience (e.g. AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in using Liberty Accounts or QuickBooks is essential.
- Knowledge of charity accounting procedures (SORP).
- Knowledge of online banking & procedures.
- Proficient in using Excel and other Office software.
- Proactive, independent and self-sufficient.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
- Able to confidently, competently and clearly present and talk through complex financial information to our Board of Trustees.
- Knowledge or experience of, and empathy with MensCraft’s purpose.
- Preparedness to work as part of a small, but growing organisation with a great emphasis on team bond, respect and solidarity.
