Residential Support Worker / SEN / Leyland

The Social Care Department is actively seeking Residential Support Workers to work within our award-winning SEN service in and around Preston. Our bespoke specialist service caters to individuals aged 6-19 and upwards with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting residents through a care pathway, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
Overview:
- Title: Residential Support Worker.
- Location: Leyland
- Job Type: Permanent.
- Shifts: 7:30 AM - 4 PM / 4 PM - 10 PM.
- Pay: £23,500 per year (increases after probation).
- Immediate starts available.

The Role:
As a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.
- Observing, monitoring, and keeping records of patient conditions.
- Treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.
- Assisting residents with their progression through a care pathway to foster greater independence.
- Collaborating with a supportive team of multi-professionals.
To be successful as a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, you'll need:
- A desire to create positive outcomes for children with learning disabilities.
- Empathy, caring nature, and resilience.
- At least 6 months of experience in a social care setting.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
