**Data Architect**

Working with a leading Financial Services name who are looking for an experienced Data Architect who can be the lead decision maker around design of the Enterprise Data Platform, and its ongoing development to meet business needs.

Someone who can raise awareness of data management with business users, and define the data needed, and the framework required for transformation purposes. Overseeing a team of 3 Data Engineers, fine tuning Azure components and liaising with business, changeand data stakeholders to ensure alignments with scope and timescales. Whilst monitoring performance and cost.

Within this role you will:

- Lead decision maker on data modelling methodology
- Defining the data needed to meet business needs
- Define the framework for the transformation of data from source systems to information used by the business for insight
- Establish preliminary data integration plan
- Capturing data journeys for the business reporting and insight needs
- Creating physical models of the relationships between data
- Ensuring progress is in line with business transformation projects and programmes
- Manage a team of Data Engineers

Skills and Knowledge:

- Experienced with Python and PySpark a
- Experience with the Azure Data Platform
- Experienced with Data Modelling concepts and methodologies such as Kimball (Star/Snowflake), Data Vault, and normalisation. Preferred experience deploying metadata driven solutions.
- Experience implementing automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Leadership skills are key and you will have 3 data engineers reporting to you, customer facing to senior stakeholders, auditors, and external stakeholders
