Our offer, aimed firmly at the tourism market place, stands out as being best in class. Our station building at Caernarfon provides an exciting opportunity to provide state-of-the-art facilities to our visitors. We are now recruiting for the team to run the station in 2024.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to assist with the day to day operations at the Station, including serving in the Café, Shop & Ticket Office and delivering events. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team developing the facility into a dynamic, thriving café, retail and events space; creating a vibrant hub both for visitors to the railways and the local community.

**We can offer you**:

- £11.44 per hour for applicants aged 21 and over, £8.60 per hour for under 21s
- Seasonal contract from 18th March to the 1st November 2024, with the possibility of extension to the start of January 2025
- The pro rata equivalent of 28 days paid holiday, inclusive of all bank and public holidays
- Enrolment into the company pension scheme after a qualifying period
- Opportunities for training and progression
- Travel benefits on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and staff discounts in shops and cafes.

**Core Skills**:

- Enthusiasm for working in the hospitality, catering or tourism industry
- ‘Front of House’ position so good communication skills and a cheerful disposition
- Good levels of numeracy, literacy and IT skills
- A willingness to learn new skills
- A good team player with a willingness and enthusiasm for joining in with events and to be flexible and adaptable to any task set
- A basic knowledge and understanding of food and kitchen hygiene would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the railways, their passengers and the local area would be an advantage.
