Head of Estates

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will direct the strategic management of the Company's property assets and business plan, reviewing procedures and implementing changes, improving the profile of property management and delivering the long-term estate strategy, in order to balance the effective and efficient utilisation of the Company's property assets with its operational requirements. This role covers the whole of the UK, both leasehold and freehold.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, manage and develop the Estates Management team to include performance management, setting individual priorities and conducting regular reviews to ensure these priorities are achieved
- Define, review, monitor and maintain standards for all property related matters including acquisition and disposal of property, design and maintenance of buildings, effective utilisation of property resources, property benchmarking, health & safety and environmental considerations, quality assurance and commissioning of work
- Direct and manage all aspects of new builds, major refurbs, upgrades and conversions throughout the business
- Direct, review and implement the green environmental property management for the Company
- Prepare, monitor and control revenue and capital budgets related to property
- Direct and manage all planned property maintenance and reactive repairs
- Provide professional valuation and estate management services
- Act as the principal professional property advisor for the company
- Take responsibility for the overall management of the Estates department
**About You**
- Experience of a wide range of specialisms, preferably covering work in the private sector at a senior management level with exposure to commercial markets as well as general estate management, agency, valuation, construction and property planning and development
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Budget management and business planning
- Project management experience
- A wide knowledge of current Health & Safety Regulations and Risk Assessment in relation to property management and development
- A full current UK driving licence (essential)
