We are looking for a Shutdown Planner to plan, schedule, manage and co-ordinate activities carried out by both internal staff and contractors during routine plant shutdowns.

**About the role**

The Shutdown planner is responsible for the development of detailed project plans (using Microsoft Project or similar planning tool) involving scheduling & sequencing of tasks and labour in a logical, efficient and safe manner. Alongside this you will develop task breakdowns to identify mechanical, instrument & electrical isolations, rigging requirements, key process isolations and detailed pre-shutdown & post-shutdown works. You will lead the production of spares schedule which includes ordering and inspection of equipment.

You will manage and coordinate key sub-contracts including labour, resource and equipment. You will obtain quotations, RAMS, place orders and carry out pre-job briefs to all appropriate contractors.

As Shutdown Planner you will monitor and co-ordinate activities during shutdown, report progress & react to changes in scope where necessary.

In addition to the above the Shutdown Planner will support the planning & execution of Statutory Pressure System Inspections. You will be the primary contact for the third party Inspection Authority. There will be a requirement for you to produce a monthly schedule for upcoming inspections, and track progress of actions from PSSR action tracker document.

The Shutdown Planner is responsible for managing and updating the CMMS System and liaising with technicians and area managers to prepare equipment for inspection to minimise impact on production.

**Your experience**

We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of the equipment used for the manufacturing of PEEK, including Relief Stream Inspections and Pressure Vessel Inspections and associated Written Schemes of Examination.

To be successful in this role you must have experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project as well as an awareness of planning and scheduling techniques. We are looking for someone with the ability to accurately break down complex tasks into sub tasks and estimate time, cost and resources required to complete each task.

A HNC in a relevant engineering discipline is essential and a degree level qualification would be desirable.
