Assistant Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist with enthusiasm for working within the area of acute mental health care to join our dynamic team.

The South East Hampshire Acute Mental Health Care Service comprises a 35 bed acute hospital (Elmleigh), an inpatient rehabilitation unit (Hollybank) and an Crisis and Home Treatment Team, which provides acute mental health care in the community. You will be based at Elmleigh Hospital in Havant and must be prepared to work flexibly across these settings.

Please note that applicants who are invited to interview will also be asked to give a brief presentation or undertake a practical activity.

We have well established clinical supervision structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as good links with Southampton University, particularly with the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology and the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. You will be professionally and line managed by the Principal Psychologist in Acute Mental Health Care. You will also be part of the South East Area Psychological Therapies Service, which is comprised of 20 Psychologists and Psychological Therapists with expertise in CBT, DBT, CAT, and EMDR.
