Payroll Officer

This fantastic position is suitable for an enthusiastic and motivated Payroll Officer who wants to join our dynamic, busy, and growing team.

**Monthly Payroll Tasks**:
- Using (Sage 50 Payroll) to process wages for salaried and timesheet based staff
- Collate & Action Adhoc additions and deductions for current pay cycle
- Communicating with Sage 50 helpline as appropriate
- Communicating effectively with employees with any pay queries
- Ensuring the data on Sage is accurate and up to date
- Issue payslips
- Upload wages payment on to the bank
- Full administration of company pension
- Process new starter and leaver information
- Process contractual and personal changes
- Update employee tax codes
- Process absence and overtime data
- Process mileage logs
- Complete PAYE Reconciliation ahead of HMRC submissions - FPS & EPS
- Create and reconcile payroll journal report
- Internal reporting - including; week 4 accrual, payroll costs, KPI’s, annual leave accrual, headcount & monthly comparison report (bridge report)
- Reconciliation of payroll nominal accounts
- Prepare files for next pay cycle
- Maintain and submit the data for annual P11D reporting
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
**System Experience**:
Competent in the use of the following systems:
- Sage 50 Payroll
- NEST Pensions
- Sage 50 Accounts
- Microsoft Excel (use of pivot tables and 'look up' functions), Word and Outlook
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
