An exciting opportunity has arisen within a fast growing, leading company who provide traffic management services. They are currently looking for their next experienced, hard working & committed Depot Manager in Manchester.

Job Title: Depot Manager

**Salary**: £35k-£40k per year + car allowance + annual commission

**Job Type**: Full time, Permanent.

Location: Manchester

Although it would be advantageous to have Traffic Management experience, our client is open to seeing experienced sales people within the construction, plant, hire or utilities industries. As the Depot Manager you will be part of a supportive region so you have plenty of support around you from other depots to ensure regional targets are met. Experience managing a large blue colour workforce would be advantageous. You must be able to evidenceyour ability to communicate with Directors, to manage people respectfully & have strong organisational skills.

Responsible for:
Everything in the depot, therefore you must have the ability to manage a large workforce as you'll be looking after 20-30 members of staff including Supervisors, Admin staff, Drivers, Traffic Management Operatives & Yard staff.

Purpose of role:
To lead and manage the day to day running of the depot, including the coaching and mentoring of depot staff ensuring they are motivated and engaged.
To ensure all tasks and operational activities are carried out safely, efficiently, adhere to company policies / procedures and that the required performance objectives are met or exceeded.

Safety is at the forefront of all that they do. Heading your team, your responsibility is to ensure your depot operates safely within the parameters of the company policy and procedures. Through leadership you will demonstrate the correct procedures andimplement robust methods of working to enable your depot to succeed whilst remaining fully committed to safety.

You are required to work collaboratively across your wider team to ensure all aspects of the business are undertaken to the highest of standards.
Through leadership, mentoring and delegation you will empower your team to work closely together to ensure the overall success and profitability of your depot. This includes but not limited to:

- Quality management
- Site audits
- People management
- Staff liaison and retention
- Customer relations
- Depot compliance and maintenance in line with company accreditations
- Depot stock control

The safe delivery of your workload to the highest possible standards is priority. Using the group management system, you will ensure that all aspects of quality is adhered to.
- Site audits
- Vehicle AI systems
- Company IT and equipment
- Stock replenishment
- Client requirements and KPI's
- Staff training, development and competencies
