Medical Receptionist

Job summary Medical Receptionist part time post available in a busy GP surgery in Bishop Auckland. Front of house post, along with call handling in Primary care setting where care navigation is front line work of the role. NHS Pension, Uniform, parking and Christmas bonus available. Main duties of the job Main duties are: Working *Monday 8am - 12PM and 2pm - 6pm, *Tuesday - Friday 2pm -6pm on front desk
- welcoming patients and dealing with their medical queries.

Call handling, taking calls from patients and third parties, example, paramedics, social workers, pharmacies, Health Visitors. Booking appropriate patient appointments, care navigating patients to the more appropriate care giver. Prescription ordering, booking medicals, taking deliveries, task workflow, online management of medical records, taking payments for private medical work. File management, covid clinic management, and workflow management from clinical staff members.
