As part of dynamic high-performing team, the Agriculture Services Controller (ASC) plays a key role in Bioresource recycling and disposal. ASC's are the “gate keepers” of the haulage permitting process and are “custodians” of recycling data and records.

ASC's are also responsible for administrating payments and effective liaison with contractors.

A key responsibility of the role is to liaise with wider stakeholders including public, customers, regulators (Environmental Health, Environment Agency etc.) and other UU colleagues.

**Job Accountabilities**:

- Ensure the compliance of Bioresource recycling and disposal operations with the UU Code of Practice and all relevant regulations and best practices.
- Provide Agriculture advisory colleagues with back office support - field mapping, field risk assessments, generate permits, soil sampling, and stockpile checks, among others.
- Maintain and update all Agriculture Services data hubs including the corporate sludge register (BioCom), Business Collaborator (BC), Podfather and SharePoint.
- Co-ordinate recycling operations carried out by in-house staff or contractors to ensure the operations follow agreed quality standards and procedures.
- Co-ordinate with contractors, customer and Agriculture Advisors to schedule cost effective deliveries of Bioresource.
- Monitor export tonnages and associated costs. Ensure timely payments to the contractors and associated record keeping.
- Liaison with wider stakeholders including public, customers, regulators (Environmental Health, Environment Agency, etc.). Prepare Ag services and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Liaison with other field based and centralised functions (customer services, treatment staff, laboratory services, transport services, health and safety)
- Collation and invoicing of Biosolids sales.
- Ensure correct quantities of sludge monitoring samples are taken.
- Ensure sludge is compliant by reference to HACCP.
- Actively contribute and Input into new working methods.
- Effective communication with an immediate and broader team.
- Support with managing the Transfer Stations.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Numerical skills with experience in data administration & processing.
- Well-developed IT literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word and other UU systems (eg: SAP, OMS, ArcGIS etc.
- Knowledge of the regulations and Codes of Practices that surround the recycling of products to agriculture.
- Excellent planning, controlling and organisational skills.
- Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
- Experience in financial governance and payments processing
- Familiarity with agricultural practices, waste/Biosolids recycling operations.
- A full driving licence is required.
