Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Services range fromadvocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs led.
The team:
BCWA Modern Slavery Safehouse Support Service is a specialist service providing accommodation support to victims of modern-day slavery and human trafficking, who have accessed the National Referral Mechanism and are supported under the Home Office nationalcontracting arrangements. BCWA is the lead provider of services covering the West Midlands areas and some of the bordering local authorities. The service works in partnership with key agencies to assess risk and provide tailored support plans for service users.BCWA support, as defined by the national contract, is to ensure that victims of modern slavery receive a safe space to live, support including financial and practical assistance and referrals to partner agencies as necessary.
Job Role
Job Title: Senior Modern Slavery Accommodation Advocate
Position available: 1 full-time position (37.5 hours), based in the Black Country

**Salary**: £23,850 - £27,800
Closing date: 12 pm on Monday 28th June

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Modern Slavery Accommodation Advocate with excellent communication skills, compassion and an understanding of the impact of abuse and exploitation.

BCWA has adapted services during COVID to support victims of violence and abuse that meet all the latest Government guidance. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available at all our sites and distributed to all staff as appropriate.

You will receive appropriate training to undertake the duties of the job on and on and offsite basis and all situations are risk assessed.

Management supervision, support and oversight is embedded in our practice to ensure all parties are kept safe.
