**Warehouse Operative with Apprenticeship - Southampton Hants**

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business distributing timber & plywood to local businesses. We have a vacancy for a warehouse operative to become part of our warehouse team in Southampton. This position will be supported with a supply chain warehousing apprenticeship. The Role will be a 12-month course, based at the workplace but delivered by Fareham College and the requirement for Level 1 English and Maths (a level below GCSE) to be achieved prior to completion of Apprenticeship (this can be delivered alongside the course if the successful applicant doesn’t already have both at GCSE or Functional Skills levels).

**Key tasks:

- Track and manage the journey/arrival of all incoming stock.
- Liaising with customers, warehouses and hauliers on the delivery or collection of goods.
- Preparation and distribution of delivery/collection notes to relevant transport partners.
- Management of Goods Inwards Notes - to move stock once arrived into relevant warehouse.
- Check & sign off any relevant logistics invoices
- Input into our software system Project Management of the Falcon System

**Requirements of the WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES: -**
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Computer literate - experience working with MS Office
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to target.
- Heavy lifting.
- Reliable
- Driving license essential

**Remuneration & Benefits**:

- Salary depending on experience
- 28 days holiday including Bank holidays
