**Care Assistant for a teenage girl living in DH8 area 6 hours per week £10.50 per hour**:
Care Assistant required to support a delightful girl aged 16 years who lives in Consett, Co. Durham.
- My daughter has FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and lives with developmental trauma due to her early life experience before she was adopted. I am looking for a kind, fun and compassionate person to spend time with her in our home with a view to getting out and about with her. I need somebody who is trauma informed or at the very least interested in the impact of trauma on brain development as I will be able to provide full training around FASD, trauma informed care and all of her sensory needs. She is physically able but emotionally her cognitive age is a lot younger than her chronological age.

**Hours /Wage**:

- 6 hours per week £10.50 per hour
I am very flexible with the hours and we could discuss them should you be interested in working with us.

**Duties**:

- My daughter is one of three of my adopted children all with the same diagnosis. They are unable to access full time education so I am looking for someone to socialise with her, be in the home to replace me to allow me to shop, work ( I am self employed and work from home mostly) and do things with her brothers knowing she’s having a lovely time.

**Additional Requirements/Information**:

- I am in a position to provide full training on FASD, Trauma, Sensory needs and lots more but this could be done on the job as no specific training is required with regards to any physical or medical needs that she has.
- Ideally, I am looking for someone who has experience with trauma informed care and confidence in dealing with teenagers.
- I need someone with transport but costs would be covered for fuel as and when needed.
- There would be no requirement to provide any care in your own home
- An Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost
