A historic, iconic and exciting motoring manufacturer is undergoing growth through exciting times and is recruiting a Materials Planner to enable them to grow and launch new products successfully to market.

Working within the Supply Chain team as a Materials Planner you will support the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring the business has the materials required to hit production targets.

As the Material Planner you would be expected to:

- Schedule the supply of parts/ components/ services to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
- Continually improve on quality, delivery, and price targets.
- Understand the risks that may affect production and minimise these to ensure there is no negative impact on manufacturing.
- Work with suppliers on processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Generate and communicate supplier delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers - demand for materials is met and deliveries are made in a timely manner
- Support the Stores Personnel with stock discrepancy, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure 100% accuracy.

To be successful you will need to:

- Ideally have experience in either a material planner or purchasing role. In terms of sector, it would be desirable to have an automotive/ manufacturing background.
- A Material Planner who is self-motivated, has great timekeeping skills, can work under pressure, and has a pro-active approach.
- Be proficient in MRP and MS Office software such as Word, PPT and Excel.
- Have a logical mindset, and strong planning and problem-solving skills.
