Financial Controller

Excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to work within a small specialist engineering company with a worldwide client base, ranging from UK Universities to international Automotive customers.

The business has been established over 35 years and as part of its growth strategy and an increasing workload, they need to appoint a new member of the management team to take specific responsibility for the financial planning and management of the company'scontracts. In addition, a substantial part of this role will include the management of accounts' function.

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for the management of the accounts for the business, ensuring that financial records are accurately kept, regular management accounts are produced along with budgets and cashflow forecasts. In order to produceaccurate accounts, it will be necessary to produce regular contract progress/work in progress reports, that will show the financial state of each contract.

The company operates contract management software to monitor and plan activities related to all the significant engineering contracts. As many of these contracts have strategic milestones that need to be achieved so that payments can be received and paid,it is very important that there is excellent visibility from a workflow and cash perspective. The Financial Controller will be expected to support the Directors and Engineering Project Managers efforts to meet contract commitments and expectations.
