Freelance - Kitchen Porter (Events)

**Job Title**:Kitchen Porter (Short-term Contract)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and surfaces are kept clean and hygienic
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as directed by the Head Chef
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling
- Ensure that all stock is rotated and stored correctly
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory management
- Support the Head Chef and F&B Manager in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to a high level of accuracy.
- Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours as required.
- Must be willing to camp on-site for the duration of each event.
- Must have a UTR number for freelance work.

**Start Date**: June 2023 onwards

**Reporting to**:The Kitchen Porter will report to the Head Chef and F&B Manager.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
