Due to our remote/hybrid working policies, you will need to be organised, proactive, and self-motivated. An ability to set priorities and manage your workload with mínimal supervision is crucial.

**Salary & Benefits**:

- £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience.

**Duties**:
You will spend your days working alongside the Marketing and Events Department, creating audience-led content and generating creative marketing ideas. You will report directly to the Marketing Manager, and your input will be invaluable in driving our business forward.

This is an exciting and varied role. Your content will be used across a wide range of external and internal media including video, press, web, and print. You will be working with a dynamic, creative, and friendly team, all committed to helping each other thrive — personally and professionally. Plus, you will be supported in your skill development and career progress, thanks to Component Sense’s dedication to ongoing learning.

Your duties will include:

- Crafting advertorials related to Component Sense products and services.
- Researching and writing articles on current affairs and key industry topics, such as environmentalism, excess stock management, circular economies, etc.
- Creating short-form social media written content.
- Reviewing and editing written work created by other team members/external suppliers.
- Writing and editing in-house video scripts.
- Producing external advertising copy and industry press releases.
- Completing business award entries.
- Contributing to ongoing marketing editorial strategies and timelines.
- Stepping in to cover any absent team members, for example, during periods of study, parental leave, and medical leave.
- Providing progress updates through our marketing project management system.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Educated to university undergraduate level in a relevant discipline **or** be able to demonstrate a high degree of skill in writing.
- Excellent written English communication skills covering all aspects of grammar and spelling.
- Experience with social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, either in a personal or professional capacity.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on various topics.
- Comfortable working remotely and with a flexible team.
- Willingness to follow policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
- Ability to work under direction.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel for business purposes e.g. quarterly meetings, conferences, team building events, etc.

**Desired**:

- Experience in the electronics industry would be advantageous but is not required.
- Prior work experience in a similar role or company.
- Previous experience using marketing software such as HubSpot.
- UK-based copywriters are preferable due to the location of our Headquarters (Scotland).
- Multi-lingual capabilities are a plus.
