ALLOY WHEEL PREPER / TYRE FITTER

SALARY. Negotiable on experience.

We are looking for a self-motivated wheel technician, with a positive attitude to join our team. You will be responsible for removing and refitting of tyres along with the full preparation process of the wheels prior to their refurbishment. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring the wheels are safely and effectively stripped via the acid tank process and the wheels are cleaned, shotblasted and prepped to a high standard. Attention to detail is essential. Experience in alloy wheel preparation is preferred, however similar experience in the body shop trade will also be considered, as full training can be given.

You will work as part of a friendly, highly motivated team, and you will have plenty of opportunity to be trained in a number of new skills and grow within the company.

Duties Include:

- Removal and refitting of tyres
- Wheel removal - safe removal of wheels with emphasis on safety and vehicle care.
- Tyre removal / replacement - operation of the company’s tyre removal equipment.
- Final inspection - checking the results and standard of work before replacing the original tyres. Report / correct any defects at this stage.
- Careful replacement of wheels on vehicle including torquing of wheel-nuts
- Preparing the Wheels for Acid Stripping
- Cleaning and shotblasting alloys ready for Refurbishment
- Maintaining Top Gun’s quality standards through quality control checks
- Assist in all areas of the process as and when required.
- Collection and delivery of wheels to and from customer's premises.
- Liaising with the workshop supervisor to ensure wheels are finished on time and to a high
- Experience in removing and refitting tyres.
- Alloy Wheel preparation experience

- Full UK Driving Licence required.
