We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our dedicated Commercial Operations team for a Student Wellbeing Co-ordinator

Reporting to the Marketing & Customer Experience Manager, you are responsible for providing wellbeing support in the commercial and partnerships portfolio.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues and teams across Southern Housing to support and contribute to our departmental operational and strategic objectives.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Providing a wide range of support primarily to students throughout the academic year but to also included as required for residents in the commercial and partnerships portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with the accommodation team to ensure our wellbeing offer is well publicised and supports a positive arrival/induction process.
- Maintain a register of support and intervention providers at site level to ensure we’re able to act quickly when an incident occurs.
- Deliver a programme of training and briefings across the accommodation teams to ensure wellbeing is embedded in our culture.
- Produce reports to senior management on wellbeing related activities including incidents, interventions, emerging risks, awareness campaigns, policy changes, training requirements and multi-agency related matters.
- Lead on the development of multi-agency relationships ensuring learning from our peers in the sector reflect our approach to providing exceptional student support services.

**The location**

You’ll be based at one of our student accommodation offices, with the option for working in a hybrid way when appropriate and as agreed with your manager.

**What you'll have**
- Educated to degree level in social care, nursing, psychology or with equivalent professional qualification/credible experience of working in student support, social services or mental health services/charities, or relevant professional body membership (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate high level understanding of student welfare and wellbeing, including the drivers and how accommodation providers can implement effective strategies and operating procedures to manage the associated risks.
- An ability to identify risks/vulnerabilities and sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practices.
- Developing effective awareness campaigns for both accommodation colleagues, students and parents using multiple methods (website, text, social media etc.)
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating appropriate communication and advanced interpersonal skills, verbally and electronically with the ability to deal calmly with students who may be challenging, distressed and/or demanding.
- Excellent time management and credible caseload management skills and experience of prioritising competing demands with minimum supervision.
