Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an HR Consultant to work for our client, a global medical technology company that designs, develops, produces, and distributes diagnostic imaging systems, clinical and workflow systems and solutions.

Job Details

HR Consultant - part-time working 3 days per week (preferably Tues to Thurs)

Hours - 8am to 5pm (pro rata 37.5 hrs pw)

**Location**: Sudbury, Suffolk - Hybrid (2 days in the office)

**Contract length**: 10 months

**Rate**: £20.00 - £30.00 per hour

**Role**:
To provide cover as an HR Consultant covering during a 10 month secondment period.

There are 350 employees on-site.

They use ASK HR, a shared HR Centre for contractual changes, new starters, etc.

On a daily basis, typically you’ll be working more on projects. Next year there will be a big focus on restructuring, which is not large scale but more individual consultations.

**Other parts of the role include**:
Carrying out annual talent reviews (making sure development plans are in place)
Site engagement surveys (key areas of that and improvements that can be made)
Involvement in appeals
Standing in for the Employee Relations Consultant on occasion
HR Generalist duties

**Responsibilities**:
Supports / leads the implementation of business specific and HR projects/change activities, e.g. restructuring, business efficiency and improvement initiatives, performance management processes, reward, culture change, etc. Contribute in the scoping and definition of such activities as required.
Provide support to senior business managers in the implementation of agreed HR / people initiatives and programmes as directed by HR GB&I and HR Business Area in line with their People Strategy.
Manage complex and escalated employee relations matters with local line management, e.g. disciplinary and appeal hearings, dismissal meetings, ET cases with support from internal and external advisors. Ensure that all issues are resolved, complying with legislation and in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures. Build the capability of local management teams to manage employee relations matters in line with policy.
Support and execute regular HR and business activities, including annual pay reviews, bonus schemes, GRIP job evaluation, resource planning, talent management. Support business management with trade union interfaces and employee consultative obligations where applicable.
As part of delivering change activities, provide advice and guidance to business managers on the range of HR professional areas e.g. employee engagement and consultation; change management, high performance organisation; analysis of people data metrics to develop business insight and aid decision making.
Maintain strong relationships with the HC HR organisation and outsourced GBS HR Services. Proactively identify operational issues and opportunities, working collaboratively in partnership with the same and HC HR corporate functions / Centres of Excellence to deliver continuous improvements in the end-to-end professional HR service provision.
Contribute to HC HR communities of practice - country, region and global where appropriate.
