We are seeking a Fryer Trainee to join our team in the kitchen of our restaurant. As a Fryer Trainee, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods to perfection. Your attention to detail and knowledge of food safety practices will ensure that our customers enjoy delicious and safe meals.

- Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods, such as french fries, chicken tenders, breaded prawns, fish, beef, pork and various vegetables.
- Monitor oil temperature and adjust as needed to maintain quality
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency
- Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety standards
- Clean and maintain fryers, including filtering oil and removing debris
- Assist with other food preparation tasks as needed

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

- Some Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Some Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment
- Some Culinary skills and the ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 51 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)
- Knife: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen Potter: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Edinburgh (required)
