**Job Summary**
Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Skilled Assembler/Finisher - Level 1 to join the team in Tewkesbury a night shift pattern who can operate a wide range of machines or processes and be able to carry out all the inspection criteria involved within that process.
Within this role, you will be performing the required bench and machine operations to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects, remove contamination, excess materials, and flash. In addition to this, you will be working closely with the supervisor to instruct bench workers and operators on the most efficient methods of burr removal. In this role, you will be responsible for ascertaining the most efficient and effective method of deburring and its implementation.

**Key Responsibilities**
To operate and perform various manual and CNC machining processes including Mills, Lathes, Grinding, Honing, Test Rigs EDMs, Flow rating, and Assembly, and carry out all the inspection criteria involved with these processes.
Use lapping and matched air gauging equipment, fit, and assemble a range of body and spool assemblies to the required fit.
The use of Grinding machines and nulling rigs to test and trim parts prior to A&T.
Deburr and Afsa assembly working to relevant WI and MEPS instructions.
Ability to be trained in various wide-ranging processes.
Complete necessary quality audits to obtain a self-inspection stamp.
Works from approved documentation to include engineering drawings, inspection plans, shop documentation worksheets, and other written instructions such as EEIs, EI’s, EEPs, EPs, and MEP’s.
Accurately records required data on relevant documentation.

**Key Expertise**
Previous Grinding experience is desirable
Experience in an engineering/manufacturing role
Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team
Flexibility to shift working patterns
Able to adapt and fit in with Moog’s philosophy, culture, values, honesty, and trust
Good timekeeping and attendance records in line with company policy
Has a positive attitude to Lean manufacturing tools and techniques including 5S
