We have an exciting new opportunity for a construction tutor to join Landau. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of our Construction programme qualification. You will also be required to devise learner journeys/actions plans taking into consideration various learning styles and individual learner needs. This is a role where being able to actively engage and motivate our learners will be a constant. And therefore, we would need you to be as passionate as we are.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Lead on the design, development and delivery of the Construction Qualification to meet the diverse needs of learners including those with Higher needs
- To establish and maintain an effective learning environment, in line with behaviour management policies, safeguarding students and employees health and safety
- Ensure programme delivery is aligned to the Education Inspection Framework
- Manage the HLTA while in the learning environment to support the students
- Work with colleagues to plan assessments, observations and moderations highlighting areas for development and promoting good practice
- Achieve a minimum retention rate of 85%
- Work with Careers Advisors to ensure IAG is aligned to programme delivery key dates and KPI’s
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships. This may involve attending meetings (which may sometimes occur outside core working hours)
- Complete regular learner reviews and reports for leadership and parents/carers
- To contribute to the organisational quality assurance systems
- Commit to professional development cascading and sharing professional insight and staying abreast of statutory and non-statutory guidance relevant to the programme delivery

**SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES**

**Technical competency (qualifications and training certificates/licenses)**
- Teaching qualification (E)
- Subject specalist qualification (E)
- CAVA L3 (D)
- Strong IT skills and competence with Microsoft suite (E)

**Experience**
- Subject specific experience of at least 2 years
- Good knowledge of the Education and Inspection Framework
- Good knowledge of compliance and quality assurance requirements for awarding bodies
