About the role

The Payroll Officer works within the Finance and Payroll Team and will have responsibility for various aspects of the Payroll services. The role will also be responsible to provide cover and deputise for the Payroll Supervisor in her absence. At present, there are three separate payrolls and whilst the Payroll Officer is expected to work across all three, the role will take ownership of all processing relating to one of the payrolls.

**Duties will include**:
Collate information received from all parts of the Group
Prepare and process the resulting data on to the Open Pay payroll system (Advanced Business Solutions) monthly.
Process the HR data file into the payroll system.
Raise payments to third parties including HMRC, court orders, union and pension payments.
Resolve payroll queries from staff and their line managers
Work with the Payroll manager to develop payroll systems, policies, and procedures.

About you

To be a Payroll Officer at Certitude, the following are essential:
Demonstrable experience of working in a Payroll Processing function.
Experience of using payroll software efficiently and effectively.
Good level of IT skills and proficient in of MS Excel and Word.
Ability to work under pressure, deal with tight deadlines and demonstrates flexibility as required to perform the role effectively.
Able to analyse data and have meticulous attention to detail.
