**Position**: Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant

Role Overview: As a Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the branch manager in the day-to-day operations of the trade counter and warehouse. Your responsibilities will include processing customer orders, coordinating and organizing warehouse staff and delivery drivers, stock control, handling customer queries and quotes, maintaining general housekeeping, and occasionally making deliveries. You will be an essential part of ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service.

**Salary and Benefits**:
The Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant position offers a competitive salary in the range of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In addition to the base salary, we offer a monthly bonus program based on meeting targets. This bonus program provides an opportunity to earn additional compensation based on individual and team performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the branch manager in the efficient running of the trade counter and warehouse.
- Process customer orders promptly and accurately, ensuring timely delivery or collection.
- Coordinate and organize the tasks of warehouse staff and delivery drivers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
- Assist with stock control, including regular stock checks, monitoring inventory levels, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Handle customer queries, provide product information, and prepare quotes for potential customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the trade counter and warehouse areas, including regular housekeeping duties.
- Occasionally assist with making deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Collaborate with the branch manager and other team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the branch manager to support the overall operations of the branch.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in a trade counter, warehouse, or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing customer orders and maintaining stock records.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for order processing, stock control, and inventory management.
- Experience using Sage50 software for invoicing and inventory management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently, demonstrating reliability and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and lifting of heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

**Work Hours**:
The Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant role operates on the following work schedule:
Monday to Friday: 06:30 - 16:30

Additionally, as part of the contractual obligations, the role will require working on Saturdays. The Saturday schedule is rotated among the branch team, meaning that each Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant will work on a Saturday approximately once a month. The Saturday work hours are from 07:30 to 12:00.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
