Financial Controller

CMA Recruitment Group are partnering with a PE backed engineering group based in Woking, to recruit for a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will oversee 3 legal entities within the group providing financial leadership during a period of change. Reporting to the Finance Director this role is instrumental to manage group reporting, balance sheet management, financial controland cashflow management.
**What will the Financial Controller role involve?**
- Leading a small team to efficiently close month end process;
- Deliver high quality and timely monthly reporting to Group ;
- Develops forward-looking insights to drive management decision, actions and improve operational and financial results;
- Provides technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP;
- Creates and implements procedures to improve the internal control environment, streamlined efforts and provide increased transparency of financial results;
- Work closely with the Project Accountant and Operation Functions to develop and understand Project, Product and Services Revenue and Profit streams along with risks and opportunities;
- Advise on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions and decisions;
- Manage, analyse, evaluate and interpret financial forecasts and operating results. Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address unfavourable variances.
- We are looking for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant who can demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to engage and manage stakeholders. Extensive project accounting experience with IFRS revenue recognition is required ideally within engineeringand manufacturing organisations.
