Key Responsibilities
Support the development of business opportunities for telecommunications products and services and assist the Commercial lawyers in the US/ Europe and aid customers in the development of requirements including but not limited to:
Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing standard and nonstandard commercial contracts including but not limited to Master Services Agreement, Service Schedules, RFP terms & conditions, International sales consultancy agreements, Global Partnership Programme (GPP) standard contracts/documents, renewal of lease agreements etc.
Drafting, negotiating and reviewing standard and nonstandard DPAs/GDPR appendices to MSAs/ RFPs etc.
Supporting RFP reviews (e.g. identify pre-bid queries, support in preparation of heads up notification, review non-standard NDA that comes with RFP).
Advising on and drafting settlement agreements relating to customer disputes in conjunction with support from the Litigation Counsel.
Supporting other legal team members and bid management/user teams to standardize, adapt, and document operational and delivery requirements, including KPIs, SLAs, penalties, and change management during RFP process or Service Schedule reviews.
Working with cross functional teams i.e. internal Product team, Commercial team, Solutions team, Finance team, Tax team, Credit team, and other stakeholders to develop new practice documentation or standard operating practice for new products and solutions.
First level review of Customer’s compliance documents e.g. Customer’s Code of Conduct document.
Managing the workflow of the contract review cycle and projects regarding contract reviews by closely working with cross functional teams such as Product, Commercial, Finance, Tax, Sales Support etc.
Supporting the legal teams in the development of form documents and templates to streamline transactions and improve the efficiency of contract review.
Assisting Legal commercial team members by developing knowledge sharing initiatives and legal research.
Minimum qualification & experience
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Commerce, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field of study and ten (10) years of relevant experience with commercial contracts in Contract Management., Excellent drafting and negotiation skills are required.
The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience.
Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.
Excellent negotiating skills, both in one-on-one and group situations.
Adaptable to global time zones and different cultures.
Experience in international laws is a requirement.
Legal or contract management experience in the telecommunications field a requirement.
Other knowledge/skills
Certificate and/or experience in Apptus Salesforce (SFDC) tool.
Certifications and/or experience from Project Management, Effective contract management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
