**The Job Role**:
Working on the ports means every day is different and offers a variety of roles for the discharge of vessels
- Shifts vary from 8-12 hours dependant on vessel requirements
- Discharging vessels such as bag boats, steel and timber
- Working as a Stevedore within the vessel
- Working as a slinger banksman on the quay
- Operating plant such as forklifts, hgvs and shovels
- Quayside labouring and port operative duties as required
- Previous experience working within a port enviroment is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working in a similar role such as Stevedore, Port Operative, Docker, Plant Driver, Tug Driver, Shovel Driver, Slinger Banksman, Quayside is desirable but not essenital as training will be provided
- Qualifications such as forklift, slinger banksman or Shovel is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
- Good time keeping and punctual
- Keen to develop skills as a Port Operative
- Flexible approach to work
- Drug and Alcohol test required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
