Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make an impact in a growing organisation? We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable and Receivable Team Leader to join our talented team in managing contracts worth over £100 million annually, across our 500+ strong workforce.
Enjoy the best of both worlds with our hybrid work model, allowing you to work remotely for 2 days a week and spend the other 3 days in our offices in either Milton Keynes or Cambridge. Plus, enjoy occasional visits to our sites in North Yorkshire and the Isle of Wight.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and inspire a team of 4 dedicated finance professionals in managing day-to-day operations and developing their skills.
- Innovate and optimise processes and policies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Attend and actively participate in contract reviews to ensure timely completion of tasks and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the bank reconciliation process, assist in cash flow reporting, and oversee Purchasing Card management for our sites.
- Support our Central Finance Manager with various ad-hoc tasks, helping drive the success of our organisation.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 3 A levels at grades A-C or equivalent
- GCSE Maths at grades A-C or equivalent
- Passion for delivering best practice and commitment to continuous improvement
- Proven track record in managing a high-performing finance team and fostering excellent customer service.

**Experience**:

- Demonstrable experience in Accounts Receivable/Credit Control and Accounts Payable ledgers within a fast-paced environment.

**Behavioural Competencies**:

- Strong leadership and team development abilities.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the drive to achieve results.

**Technical Competencies**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- SAP and Docuware experience preferred, but not essential.

Our technology includes everything from mechanical and biological treatment, traditional mass-burn energy from waste and material recycling technologies to in-vessel composting, advanced thermal treatment, innovative small-scale energy from waste and anaerobic digestion. In a single year we process 300,000 tonnes of waste that is turned into energy. This generates the same amount of energy as approximately 600 million solar panels. Similarly we recycle circa 95,000 tonnes of waste.
