**What’s in it for you**:
As a Team Administrator, you will join Children’s Services Business Support team who will help you progress in the role to ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and modern customer focused service. We work in a hybrid way which includes a mix of home and Team days in County Hall Dorchester.

**What you can expect to be doing**:
The purpose of the role is to provide a range of administrative support across Children’s Services. You will be expected to assist with enquiries from partner agencies, stakeholders and other colleagues, follow a set of administrative and project management processes.

The role will cover a range of service areas including Child Protection, Children in Care, and Schools Safeguarding. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of what is required when a child comes into care in Dorset. You will be able to contribute to discussions around how we can improve the experience of coming into care for children and young people.

It will be a chance to shape and streamline the service to benefit our children and young people in care. Looking at how we can effectively gain feedback from our children and young people, carers, family members and professionals.

Develop your critical thinking skills through problem solving to maximise the efficiency of the service. You will be able to identify a problem and use your knowledge to provide a logical solution that can be shared with colleagues.

**About you**:
You will need to be an enthusiastic and organised individual with good attention to detail and a keen interest to learn.

You will need to be conscientious and self-motivated with a commitment to our service standards. You will also need to be someone that is able to work accurately in the face of conflicting demands and be able to demonstrate good numeric, literacy and IT skills.

You will work with the Safeguarding & Service Support Business Support team in Dorchester We will provide an extensive work-based training programme.

You will have access to information about children of a highly sensitive, possibly distressing nature.
