We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Merchandiser with a blend of analytical and creative skills to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our website to increase online sales and enhance the customer journey. With a passion for reading, strong book knowledge is essential, however, training can be given to get you up to speed on our IT systems.
**Responsibilities**
- Use analytics to optimise the website and drive website traffic to grow online sales
- Ensure online activity is in line with overall brand and marketing strategy
- Conduct a site-wide merchandising audit to optimise book categorisation
- Create new and interesting ways to categorise books in a way that appeals to a broad audience of serious and recreational readers
- Support the building of new categories, landing pages, book detail maintenance and promotional activities
- Be responsible for data-led product enrichment such as product placement and priority order based on trends
- Liaise with the sales and marketing team and IT on the customer journey
- Management of promotional codes
- Liaise with the customer service team on promotional activity
- Support the management of stock levels to achieve sales and on-line sell through
- Enhance upsell and cross sell opportunities site-wide
- Continuously analyse market trends and customer behaviour to identify new bookselling opportunities for growth, revenue maximisation and brand development
- Support marketplace activities such as product uploads, product categorisation and reporting
- Monitor and report on campaign performance
**Requirements**:
Essential
- Strong book knowledge and a natural passion for books and reading
- Experience of reporting tools such as GA4 and PowerBI
- Experience in a retail merchandising environment, ideally within eCommerce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a creative team environment
- A professional attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience of Magento
- Knowledge of customer journeys and the buying cycle
- Experience of Netsuite or similar ERP
- Strong Excel & Microsoft Office skills

Working hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week (Mon-Fri)
**Salary**: £22,308 per annum pro-rata
