**Skydive Langar Cafe is looking for a part-time or full-time Cafe Assistant to join our team in Nottingham.**

**Job Summary**:
The Cafe Assistant will be responsible for providing guests with a high-quality experience by working to maintain cafe operations and maintaining customer service. This position will also assist the cafe manager with daily tasks and tasks that are assigned by the cafe manager.

**Responsibilities**:
**Take food and drink orders from customers**
- Prepare coffee drinks, teas, and hot chocolate drinks according to customers’ requests
- Serve food items to customers including salads, sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc.
- Take orders from customers and issue food orders to cooks who are preparing them
- Clean food items and equipment using cleaning supplies and chemicals provided by Cafe Manager
- Stock shelves, bins, and pantries as needed to keep the cafe organized and clean
- Plan cleaning schedules and organize cleaning crew to keep the cafe clean during peak hours
- Restock supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. as needed to keep the cafe clean during peak hours
- Maintain a clean working environment by keeping the kitchen area neat and orderly at all times; following all sanitation and health regulations; not smoking; following Skydive Langar Cafe safety procedures; cleaning as needed; wearing proper safety equipment.

**Skills**:
**Proven work experience in a customer service role (preferred)**
- Strong customer service skills required; must be able to provide quality customer service at all times. This includes making sure that all customers receive their orders quickly and correctly. It also includes providing accurate information about our food items, our drinks, and how they should enjoy them. It also includes ensuring that our bar area is stocked with all necessary supplies at all times. It includes ensuring that our dining area is clean and tidy at all times. It includes ensuring that our walk-in cooler is stocked at all times. It includes ensuring that our walk-in freezer is stocked at all times. It includes ensuring that we follow health regulations at all times in order to provide a healthy environment for our employees and patrons.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: £10.48-£12.00 per hour
