- We are based in Heckington (Sleaford) and Bromborough (Formally Sun Valley Ltd) and we are part of the Zertus UK & Ireland Snacking & Chocolate Market Unit partnered with other food manufacturers across the country.

We're on the look out for a Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team based at our Bromborough manufacturing site were we roast, fry, process and pack various snacking products. This is a fast paced role where you will deliver daily and weekly plans to ensure efficient production of our delicious snacking products, playing a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and meeting their order requirements. You will need to have experience within a role planning production whether that be for food products or similar, ideally within FMCG. You will need to be curious, hunt for answers and be confident to work with stakeholders at all levels within the business.

This role is site based, working Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 with a 30 minute break per day (37.5 hours per week).

**Responsibilities**:

- To create and issue a weekly plan by an agreed fixed time that delivers a minimum of 98.5% customer service. The plan must maximise efficiency by best sequencing of product groups (allergens, forming sets, clean downs etc.)
- The plan must deliver a minimum 4 day fixed schedule with target of 3 week fixed plan.
- Issue a provisional and final plan weekly, that has been agreed with operations and other cross functional teams, highlighting to the wider SC where changes contravene lead times with the 3PL.
- Chair the provisional and final weekly planning meeting where actions/minutes will be issued. The final weekly plan needs to be agreed and signed off by the relevant departments before being issued.
- Maintain daily accuracy of WO management in line with 3PL requirements on inbound materials.
- Review Previous 24 Hours production output, update plans and issue to cross functional teams.
- To update CTP (Conformance to plan) with any asset that is below 85% - this is a daily task
- Working directly with the Planning Manager and the Operational teams, conduct RCA on plan fails and isolate and escalate where adjustments to plan routings or sequencing may be beneficial.
- Review daily stock status reports relevant to the Planning function and escalate where materials need to be expedited through the process.
- Plan to available labour on a daily/weekly basis and escalate where variances against the fixed plan have occurred with associated reasons.
- Work closely with the Inventory / Procurement & Logistics team in managing planned output with available warehouse space / shunting operation ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse.
- To update Supply Chain KPI suite / metrics
- Working with the Planning Manager, ensure all deep cleans, PPM’s (Engineering) planned downtime are included in the future outlook.
- Review shortage reports on a weekly basis and escalate to the wider SC where needed.
- Upload packing and WIP requests from external warehousing in conjunction with the Inventory and procurement team.
- Attend daily and weekly meetings upon request (Daily planning meeting, daily operational meeting, weekly planning meeting, customer service meeting)
- Liaising with Production Planners from Humdinger ensuring a broad understanding of both manufacturing facilities and interdependencies of product mix.
- Attend site trial meetings
- Raise Disposals for any WIP items that are surplus - once an RCA has been carried out. Any surplus needs to be agreed with Head of Planning

Qualifications:

- Good communication skills with the ability to express ideas, share information and communicate at all levels.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, handling conflicting demands.
- Able to work on their own.
- Advanced User of Excel.
- Good Knowledge of MRP / ERP Systems (Training is available)
- Ability to build strong effective relationships with key cross functional departments.
- Proficient in analytical and numerical analysis and the ability to communicate scenarios.
- Confident in taking meetings and talking to cross functional teams.
