We are currently looking for an Indirect Buyer to become a critical member of the Procurement Team, supporting the business to assist procurement and expedite a range of key materials and components that are critical to the successful operation of Severfield. You will be responsible for the order placement of in-direct consumables for numerous business units across multiple locations.
You will be managing inbound purchase requisitions from multiple production facilities, placing orders against price lists and supply agreements, and obtaining quotes from pre-approved suppliers. You will also be responsible for reviewing invoices to confirm payments and delivery dates, and ensuring the systems are kept up to date.
To be successful in this role you will need to have at least one year’s procurement experience, and a good understanding of Supply Chain and modern procurement practices. You will need to be able to build strong relationships as you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
