**Job summary**:
This position is located at the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT) in Capel Curig, Wales (administered/supported by Cadet Training Centre Frimley Park, Surrey).

You will have the ability to become an important member of an engaging and focused, high-performance team.

This role provides an opportunity to be customer facing, providing administrative support with an ability to be adept at adopting and contributing towards change and improvement.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

**Job description**:

- The primary role of the Officer Commanding (OC), Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT), is the daily management of all the key areas of responsibility to support the operational effectiveness of CCAT both at Capel Curig and Halton Training Camp. The functionality of the role involves planning, organising and delivering an annual programme of inspirational, challenging and safe adventurous training courses for Senior cadets and CFAVs that meets the requirements of the CCAT mission and Headquarters Regional Command Cadets Branch statement of training requirement (SOTR) as directed by CO CTC Frimley.**Person specification**:
The role is for an individual with the capacity to confidently lead within MOD and functional compliance, CCAT by:
Managing Civil Service staff and contractors within guided HR systems, engagement with Army Cadets Charitable Trust (ACCT) to maintain current freelance instructor contract list.

Ensuring policy compliance with MOD and HQ Regional Command Cadets Branch, including health and safety policy, induction, facilitating CCAT policies (training safety & delivery) to ensure they are current, compliant and relevant.

Plan and manage the CCAT Annual Course programme and acting as the Safeguarding focal point / lead.

Coordinate advertising of CCAT annual course programme through MOD online platforms such as WESTMINSTER, the CCAT website, CCAT Facebook & internal Cadets communications pathways, in line with MOD media and information policy.

Provide 1st Party Assurance auditing support for the delivery of CCAT courses across all locations ensuring the implementation of current standard process.

Provide support for the annual internal 2nd Party Assurance auditing process.

Prepare and provide support for the annual external 3rd Party Assurance auditing process.

Liaison and engagement with Army Cadets Charitable Trust (ACCT) maintain current freelance instructor contract list.

Management of CCAT Logistic Support Plans and authorise the CCAT Adventurous Training equipment, additionally co-coordinating Transport and Logistics.

Engage and maintain oversight of CCAT infrastructure improvements of facilities utilising the infrastructures and policies.

Supervise and manage the annual Training Over private land (TOPL) clearance process through Army Brigades in Wales, North West England and Scotland.

Accounts Management - The responsibilities may include but are not limited management of the following accounts:
Running Trustee for the CCAT non-public account.

Supervise CCAT annual training budget managed by ACCT.

Supervise and handle expenditure of the GPC (Government Procurement Cards) account and Miscellaneous Stores Account.

IT Skills and basic numeracy and literacy essential to this role.
