Yard Groom

Groom required

Duties to include:
Turning out and bringing in
Preparing horses for lessons (grooming, tacking up, untacking)
Mucking out (routinely seven boxes per day)
Hand walking, carrying out veterinary instructions
Helping to finish off the yard at the end of the day

For the motivated person there could be the opportunity for some riding and even training, however this would need to be in your own time.

Experience absolutely necessary as you will be handling a range of horses including stallions, young stock and competition horses/liveries, all the way through to riding school ponies and retirees.
As well as experience, reliability is also extremely important to us. You will need to be able to drive and have your own car. For practical reasons you need to live within a 10 mile radius of the yard (accommodation not supplied).
Applicants need to be able to work well as a team and also to have excellent time management skills and be able to complete all work to a high standard.
Low key friendly atmosphere on the yard.

Four or five day week (negotiable) to include one weekend day (not negotiable). Hours 8:00 - approximately 17:15.
45 minute lunch break and 15 minute tea break.
£98 per day Package includes pension plus holiday pay and sick pay after probationary period.

Good, recent references required.
