**Geotechnical Engineer -**required for one of the UK's leading Geotechnical consultancies based in Harrogate. The Geotechnical Engineer will be working for a multi Award winning consultancies with Investors in People Gold Standard. The GeotechnicalEngineer will be working for a company that work on a variety of projects in the public and private sector within Site investigations, Temporary Works, Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental.

The Geotechnical Engineer will have a Masters in a suitable Geotechnical or Geology Engineering discipline as well as 3 + years working on geotechnical projects within the UK. This role will involve a mix of Site Work and Design where the most successfulEngineer will be involved in the projects from start to finish not just limit to working on desk studies and risk assessments

**Geotechnical Engineer Position Overview**
- Provide detailed ground movement analysis using state of the art 3D finite element analysis software.
- Support innovative tender designs and Project management
- Work closely with project managers and other project engineers as part of a team and, where required
- Undertaking project work including report writing, computations, analysis and compilation of graphs and figures
- Logging of soils and rock and supervision duties on site
- Contributing to the safe working and HSE culture
- Interpret desk study information, site investigation data and laboratory test results
- Production of bearing pile / retaining wall designs
- Combination of site work with the challenge of design work and analysis

**Geotechnical Engineer Position Requirements**
- 1st Degree (BSc/BEng) Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science
- Ideally an MSc or MSci within in a Geotechnical Specialisation
- 3 + years' experience of working on geotechnical projects in the UK.
- Working towards a Chartered Member of your chosen field (ICE, IEnvSc, GeolSoc, etc.)
- Able to organise arrangements for small and medium sized site investigations
- Ability to log soils and rocks to a common BS/EC7 standard
- Technical and Commercial competence
- Excellent report writing skills
- Knowledge of Geoenvironmental engineering is advantageous

**Geotechnical Engineer Position Remuneration**
- Salary £30K- £45K DOE
- Pension, Flexible Working, Payment of professional fees, Life assurance, group income protection and Perkbox
