Preschool Assistant

South Wingfield Pre-School Playgroup is a small but friendly village preschool and we are looking to employ an enthusiastic Early Years practitioners to join our pre-school. Level 3 childcare qualification (minimum) and previous experience of working in a childcare setting is preferred. The post will be on a zero hours contract however the hours of work will be between Monday-friday 8.15am-3.15pm on a regular basis. (However these may alter over the time). We are a term time only setting and also a pack away pre-school. We follow a robust safeguarding procedure and all checks will be completed and in place before any appointed persons begin employment.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

- Ensure the needs of the children are being met at all times. To be vigilant and proactive in the approach to safeguarding following our policies and procedures at all times.

*Plan and provide activities suitable for children's abilities following the EYFS.

*Be a child's key worker, building a relationship with those children and families and keeping the children's learning journals up to date.

*Undertake other jobs as deemed necessary, for example snack/lunch preparation, cleaning tables/floors etc in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for the children.

*To demonstrate loyalty, professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Be a positive role model.

Part-time hours: 14 per week

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
