- Assessing risk associated with all planned and reactive work on Water Network by use of modelling.
- Developing, implementing, embedding and operating a work authorisation / permit system to control all work carried out on the water network from the ICC.
- Developing performance reports from the operational information to support improvements by the Water Network Management Team.

- Ensuring accurate capture of corporate and regulatory data.
- Ensuring accurate updating of corporate systems for use by others in UU to support the management of the event / incident and provide technical support and guidance.
- Having a clear understanding of the Water Services performance goals and performance measures and their role in achieving these targets.
- Identifying operational problems and trends in performance likely to result in customer service issues or non-compliance with regulatory requirements and investigate and deliver actions to improve the overall service from the team and assets.
