Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen to lead the ICT Support Team within the BCH (Beds, Cambs & Herts) ICT Department. Join the exciting and dynamic world of policing and contribute towards making Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire a safer place.

Based at Herefordshire Constabulary HQ, WGC, you will be an integral part of the ICT Operations Team, leading the ICT Support Team in supporting the force desktop and laptop estate ensuring that vital business software is highly available to staff and officers.

You'll demonstrate your experience in a 2nd Line ICT Support Environment, and provide expert advice and line management to the ICT Support Team, ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs and making sure any procedures or corrective actions are documented.

You must be an effective team player, organised and highly motivated, understanding the importance of flexibility, effective communication, and collaboration to work efficiently with colleagues located in different office locations across the BCH estate, our users and our suppliers.
- 4 years' experience in field/support engineering to include hardware, diagnostics, software and OS
- Customer Service Qualification or 2 years' experience within customer service
- Good computer literacy & keyboard skills
- Must be highly-motivated, innovative and flexible with excellent time management Must be capable of good communications at all levels often dealing with complex ICT issues with non-ICT staff. Must be conversant and at ease with all forms of communications.
- Ability to work in a team and manage a team of people
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision even when under pressure
- Self-motivated and well organised
- Excellent interpersonal skills
