**Software Test Engineer (Python)**

An International Financial Service provider specialising in trading solutions, and products in multiple asset classes, including equities, derivatives, digital assets, and FX, is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their team in London. This role offersa highly competitive compensation package and an outstanding work/life balance with only occasional days required in the office.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the entire cycle of automated test development as part of a talented and enthusiastic QA team
- Maintain, extend, and improve a large and sophisticated automated test framework written in Python
- Work closely with the development, business, and trade desk teams to support and co-ordinate test requirements
- Design, develop and document automated test cases and test data
- Identify and report bugs discovered and ensure that any fixes resolve the problem
- Ensure any problems identified in our continuous integration test environments are flagged up/fixed as they occur
- Look for opportunities to improve the overall quality of our products, techniques and tools
- Support complex projects which may involve multiple systems and other developers in London, the United States, and other regions

**Personal Profile**:

- Previous QA experience is required, with recent and demonstrable experience in coding automated tests and working with test frameworks
- Strong experience in object-oriented design and good programming practices
- Python development experience is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Linux systems as an end user, as well as being able to perform basic system administrator tasks
- SQL experience (PostgreSQL or another variety) is necessary
- Familiarity with source control systems, e.g. git, and bug tracking tools
- Experience working with Jenkins or similar continuous integration environments
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as on their own
- Knowledge of working in a Financial Services background is an advantage
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field
